The T4 is the Browne Amplification take on the classic 4 transistor fuzz, similar to the circuits used in the big muff and countless other variants. What sets the T4 apart is a flattened EQ curve that allows the mids to come back in and cut through the mix better. It also has been softened in the gain department and smoother than other versions of this circuit. Every guitarist loves buying pedals, we can't help it. Show us a flashy new pedal and we will sell a vital organ to make sure we can take it home. But, just like putting tires on your car, there are those supporting actors that are necessary for the leading roles to shine. Enter THE FIXER. He's not flashy and doesn't need the spotlight or recognition, but he will make sure all your other pedals shine while making it easier for you to reach for that second guitar that you've been neglecting.
THE FIXER is part buffer, part booster, and all about how it makes your guitar feel. There are two different boost circuits. Why you may ask? How many times have you dialed in your tone to perfection and then reached for another guitar only to realize that the difference in output has changed how our drives and amp respond? FIXED. Need an always-on output for your tuner but also want a way to mute your signal chain to switch guitars? FIXED. Need a high-quality buffer to fix the impedance issues created by the dozens of guitar pedals on your board? FIXED.
After years on the road as a tech for some of the best guitarists out there, Dave realized the need for a pedal that would allow you to switch guitars without drastic changes in volume and tone. That’s why THE FIXER has two identical boosts. Not only do these boosts help to make up the slight gain loss from our favorite buffer but they also provide the option to add a bit more oomph to your signal if you so desire. Set your gain to perfection with your favorite humbucker guitar, then hit the mute switch, grab that vintage strat, boost the gain up to match your high output guitar and play on.
The unsung hero in this pedal, however, is the buffer. Buffers are tricky and opinions abound. A buffer can bring the life back to a long signal chain or thin out your tone and make it feel stiff. We made a buffer that we actually like and think you might too. Even if you aren't getting fancy with the boosts, the buffer in this pedal will make your whole rig "feel" better. More responsive tighter lows, and smoother highs while fixing the impedance issues like a buffer should. You might even forget it's there, but when you take it out, you'll wonder what happened to your tone.

The ATOM Nashville Overdrive
The ATOM Nashville Overdrive is the green side of the Protein Dual Overdrive as a stand-alone unit. While this circuit originated from the classic ODR-1 circuit, this is not an ODR-1 clone. Browne Amps lowered the gain to make it useable throughout the entire sweep of the knob, adjusted the EQ section to make it less scooped, restored some of the mids and tightened up the low end (to add just the right amount of low mid “beef” back into your tone without becoming muddy). They also redesigned the power section to make it feel more like a tube amp that is working hard! The ATOM is a unique overdrive all on its own.
Imagine an ODR-1 and a Tube Screamer came together and ended the war between them - the strong alliance that would be formed is the ATOM.
The ATOM’s uniqueness is found in its ability to transform a thin sounding amp (or amp that has to be quiet and can’t be pushed) to feel like an amp that is pushing some air and has some weight to it. This is accomplished by adding the right combination of low mids & mids, as well as giving you a little bit of sag that makes playing a loud tube amp so enjoyable.
The ATOM is an extremely versatile tool to have in your arsenal. Take some time to really get to know it, and you will fall in love.

The Gritador Classic Overdrive Pedal
We won't beat around the bush on this because we both know what classic circuit inspired this pedal. From Stevie Ray Vaughn to John Mayer, the Tube Screamer has been part of more recordings than any other overdrive pedal. This version, however, is the version that our resident genius in chief has tweaked to perfection. He dialed in the midrange to be more nuanced. You still get that classic midrange bump but without some of the inherent nasaliness that can sometimes plague this circuit. He altered the clipping to be slightly less symmetrical. He also tweaked the low end to give it more fullness while still maintaining a tight and punchy low end. Why the Gritador name you ask? Because it means “screamer” in Portuguese. This is Dave's favorite version of his favorite overdrive. Just plug it in and let go. I promise you - this thing SCREAMS.
